Early 80s - Foundation in the Bermuda Triangle

MA PITOM

The "Mapitom" opens as one of the founding bars of Vienna's legendary Bermuda Triangle. With its mix of trendy architecture, a diverse range and a focus on beer, it quickly established itself as an institution in the Viennese gastronomy scene.
‍For over25 years, the "Mapitom" was a cultural hotspot. In addition to the bar, numerous events took place here - from live music and cabaret to readings and exhibitions. A particular highlight was the beautiful, large outdoor seating area next to the Ruprechtskirche, Vienna's oldest church.

A new chapter: The "Meinz" as a cocktail bar

A new beginning

After an era as the cult bar "Mapitom", the bar is taken over in 2017 and shines in new splendor. A new chapter is opened under the name "Meinz". The concept is transformed into an elegant cocktail bar with a focus on enjoyment and a feel-good atmosphere. With a focus on high-quality bar culture, creative cocktails and a first-class selection of dishes in a stylish ambience, "Meinz" quickly becomes a popular meeting place for connoisseurs.

Since opening, we have made the Meinz Wohlfühlbar a popular meeting place for everyone. People come together here to have a good time, whether it's an exciting game or a social evening with friends. Our atmosphere invites you to linger and ensures that every visit is unforgettable.

Conversion & modernization

To take the guest experience to a new level, "Meinz" is undergoing a comprehensive redesign. Targeted use of neon lights sets urban accents and creates a vibrant, modern atmosphere. The redesign creates an even more sophisticated ambience that perfectly underlines the character of the cocktail bar and further consolidates its reputation as a stylish meeting place in Vienna.
